dinosaurs

so i was watching one of these late night tv shows in the discovery channel, it was about dinosaurs that existed here on earth hundreds of millions of years ago, they were around for a very long time, a total of about 200 million years, after which something cataclysmic happened which wiped out dinosaurs completely, geologists theorize that maybe it was a meteor impact that triggered an ice age, anyhow so us humans have been around on this planet for just 1 million years, and we owe our existence to that cataclysmic event that killed the dinosaurs, because humans probably would not have gotten the chance to flourish if we had dinosaurs looming over our heads constantly, i guess my point is this, my mind says the best thing us humans can hope for is that we make it for another 199 million years before we too don’t get wiped out by some meteor impact, my heart and soul can create infinite stories about god and devil and good and bad and meaning and purpose and love and pain, in the end i can trust reason and work, the rest is faith, i am learning to move past my stories
